The Full Monty

Based on the Oscar-nominated film of the same name, this musical adaptation trades Sheffield, England for Buffalo, NY where six unemployed steelworkers, low on both cash and prospects, decide to present a strip act at a local club after seeing their wives' enthusiasm for a touring company of Chippendales. As they prepare for the show, working through their fears, self-consciousness, and anxieties, they overcome their inner demons and find strength in their camaraderie.

The show had its world premiere at the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego before moving to Broadway for a run of 770 performances. It later played on London's West End. Nominated for 10 Tony Awards and winner of a Drama Desk Award for Best Music, this show has since been performed in two dozen countries on five continents over the past two decades.
