Hedwig and the Angry Inch is back at Camel City Playhouse for another run this June!

The concept of the stage production is that the audience is watching genderqueer rock singer Hedwig Robinson’s musical act as she follows rock star Tommy Gnosis around the country on his wildly successful tour. Gnosis is recovering from an incident that nearly ruined his career, a moment that intimately involved Hedwig. Capitalizing on her notoriety from the incident, Hedwig is determined to tell the audience her story.

Brilliant, innovative, moving, and wickedly funny, Hedwig is out to set the record straight about her life, her loves, and the operation that left her with that angry inch. Part rock concert, part cabaret, part stand-up comedy routine, this one-of-a-kind musical proves time and again that an indomitable spirit can’t ever be tied down.

The Affiliates is a live-action graphic novel combining projected comic art, live voice acting, percussion, sound effects, and immersive storytelling into one unforgettable experience. Part spy thriller, part underground concert, part supernatural mystery, this original production brings graphic novel panels to life on stage in a bold new way.

Presented at Camel City Playhouse, The Affiliates follows Dada, Aura, and Cam as they uncover hidden powers, dangerous enemies, and a city filled with secrets hiding in plain sight. Performances take place Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12 at 7:00 PM.
